Hey there!

I'm Rosemary

My design ethos centers around human experience. Ease is only one of many experiences we are capable of having, and I intend to work the full spectrum.

Everyone researching, defining, prioritizing, funding, leading, delivering, and supporting a project is a direct part of the final experience, and it is my greatest honor to capture that collective effort into the deliverables we call "User Experience Design".

I wouldn't want it to be

Why I do UX

As a third culture kid, I grew up observing people to try to blend in.

I didn't realize that observation and inference could be more than a passive skill until I watched a teacher use them to tailor her class for her students, resulting in higher engagement, retention, and last but not least, higher test scores.

Imagine finding out that the skills you developed while trying to blend in with cats actually prepared you to herd cats (to good things, obviously!). I was stoked.

When I heard about UX, the heavens opened and a rainbow came down to pave the way to my destiny. Technically, it was less of a rainbow, more of a training montage set in the US Midwest.

Since becoming a cat herd... I mean UX Designer, I have designed for connection, nostalgia, respect, empowerment, safety, change, and even job security among other experiences. Bring me your hairiest (pun intended, of course) problems and I'll show you blending in.
